We are going to have a fashion creativity contest!

Each night of our 2019 Tap Happy Annual Merry Month of May Master Classes, we will take a snapshot of each person who arrives in their fashion-contest Tap Happy attire.  After the final night, the entire faculty will vote on one tee shirt winner and one tank top winner for creative, imaginative fashion.

How to Take a Chance to Win Free Tap Lessons with the Tap Happy Top Fashion Contest

NOTE: Taking class is NOT required to participate in the contest.

 

Q:      What is this about free tap dance lessons?

A:      There will be two winners of the Tap Happy Top Fashion Contest; one for best tee fashion; one for best tank fashion.  Each winner will receive:

• One coupon to be used by self or a by a friend, good for…

• A package of four free consecutive Tap Happy tap dance lessons, usable in…

• The 2019 Summer Term or the 2019 Fall Term.

 

Q:      How do I participate in the contest?

A:      First, if you don’t already own your Tap Happy tee shirt or tank top, buy one from the Pop-Up Boutique in the lobby thirty minutes before each of the May Master Classes.  Since you are going to alter it, it doesn’t matter if you don't find your exact size.

​

          Next, get creative!  There are two super simple examples below.  There are also many good YouTube videos for do-it-yourself tee shirt alterations using nothing but a pair of scissors.  You can also add anything you like – beads, trim, sequins, ruffles, lace, etc. Get some cool ideas and then decide on your plan!

​

          Now, when you alter your top, remember that we still want the Tap Happy logo to show.  Other than that, the sky is the limit!  In fact, if you are really having fun, you can make a whole tap dance outfit that features your new top, with coordinated pants, headband…you get the idea!  Have some DIY creative fun!!

​

          Your final step is to wear your outfit to another night of the boutique, by May 9th (see the full schedule below).  We’d love for you to wear it to your master class, but even if you are not taking our classes, you are invited to participate.

• At the boutique, have your photo taken.

• Be sure we have your full name and all your contact information completed on the contest form  (available at the boutique) so we can connect your info to your photo and contact you if you win!

 

Q:      How are the winners chosen?

A:      The fashion photos will be emailed to the Tap Happy May Master Class faculty, who have all agreed to cast their votes for the best tee shirt fashion, and the best tank top fashion.  The votes will be tallied on May 10th, and by Saturday, May 11th, Sara Draper will call the winners and publish the exciting news. The coupons will be mailed to the winners at that time.
